Fiber Raman Amplifier Based on Improved Whale Algorithm

Abstract In this paper, an improved whale algorithm to optimize pump power and wavelengths of second-order fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) has been proposed. Adopted by the strategies adaptive gradients reverse learning, normal is greatly improved. An optimized FRA designed based on six-wavelength backward structure. Compared optimizing both wavelength with only power, gain flatness curves two algorithms, optimal combination scheme, corresponding noise characteristics are got. A 6-pumped in which error on-off 0.08% ripple 0.18dB.
